DIHAD Sustainable Organisation and the Kuwait Association for Needy Families Hold Panel Discussion in Kuwait on Advancing Sustainable Humanitarian Work

Kuwait, 28 October 2025: Under the patronage of H.E. Dr. Khaled Amer Al-Ajmi, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Social Affairs in the State of Kuwait, DIHAD Sustainable Organisation, in collaboration with the Kuwait Association for Needy Families (KANF), held a panel discussion titled “Leading Change in Humanitarian Work through Sustainable Strategies and Global Partnerships.” The session brought together leading figures and experts in the fields of development and humanitarian work.

The event, held at the Regency Hotel in Kuwait, explored ways to advance the humanitarian ecosystem and strengthen sustainability in development initiatives through building effective partnerships and adopting institutional strategies that create a lasting positive impact across communities.

The session was inaugurated by H.E. Dr. Khaled Amer Al-Ajmi, who emphasised during his address the importance of fostering the values of partnership and integration between local and international institutions to advance sustainable development and enhance humanitarian impact across societies.

H.E. Dr. Khaled Amer Al-Ajmi commended the pioneering role played by both Kuwaiti and international entities in supporting charitable and developmental initiatives that translate humanitarian values into tangible projects, affirming that the future of humanitarian work depends on adopting institutional strategies that balance immediate relief efforts with long-term development objectives.

The session came as part of DIHAD Sustainable Organisation’s ongoing efforts to strengthen regional and international cooperation aimed at advancing the humanitarian ecosystem and unifying efforts to achieve lasting impact amid the humanitarian and economic changes the world is witnessing.

In this context, H.E. Amb. Dr Abdulsalam AlMadani, Chairman of DIHAD Sustainable Organisation and Chairman of DISAB, Roving Ambassador of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Mediterranean (PAM) for the GCC Region, stressed that strengthening sustainable partnerships in humanitarian work contributes to the development and improvement of institutional systems to achieve long-term developmental goals.

H.E. Amb. Dr Abdulsalam AlMadani stated, “Balanced collaboration between humanitarian and developmental entities is one of the key pillars for achieving sustainable impact. DIHAD Sustainable Organisation continues its commitment to advancing this approach through initiatives and programs that aim to enhance humanitarian response and support communities’ capacity to adapt to humanitarian and economic changes. Through our regional and international partnerships, we strive to define a new approach that reimagines humanitarian work as a driving force for development, empowerment, and human balance in the long term.”

The session also featured Eng. Bader Hamad Al-Mubarak, Chairman of the Kuwait Association for the Needy Families, and Eng. Khaled Al Attar, Director General of DIHAD Sustainable Organisation, who shared a comprehensive vision on fostering innovation and strengthening partnerships among the public, private, and international sectors.

The discussion emphasised the importance of transforming humanitarian initiatives from short-term interventions into sustainable development programmes that reinforce the principles of regional and international cooperation and integration, thereby strengthening community resilience and upholding the values of generosity and shared responsibility.
