Eligibility Criteria

Who is eligible to be nominated for the award?

The award accepts 2 different types of nominees, depending on the award category:

Organisations
Individuals

Nomination Process

Can I nominate myself, someone else, or my organisation?

Yes, you may. However, nominations must adhere to the respective nominee categories types for both award categories. Applications that do not adhere will not be taken into consideration.

Is there a deadline for submissions?

The end of the nominations period and deadline of submissions is 25 August, 2026

Is there a fee to submit a nomination?

No, there is no fee to submit a nomination.

Can I nominate an organisation that I am currently employed under or associated with?

o Yes, you are eligible to nominate an organisation if you have been or are involved as one of its founders, board members, beneficiary, partner, management or employee.

o You may also nominate a notable organisation with which you are not affiliated with, provided that you submit sufficient details and supporting documents for your nomination.

How many nominations can I submit?

o There is no limit to the number of unique nominees a single applicant can submit. However, every nomination must include all the necessary information and supporting documents as required.

o Each applicant can submit a maximum of one (1) nomination per nominee (organisation or individual) per nomination timeframe.

o Duplicate nominations by same applicant for the same nominee will not be accepted. Only the first submission will be considered as the official nomination, unless directly stated otherwise by the applicant.

o Any subsequent nominations to the same organisation by other applicants will serve as supplementary information for the nominee (up to a max of 5).

What are the requirements?

Nominations must be submitted through the nomination form with all required fields filled out, along with any supporting documents wherever deemed necessary.

What information is required within the nomination form?

Submitted nomination form entries should include information that spotlights the organisation’s or individual’s significant accomplishments, emphasizing those directed towards sustainable humanitarian or philanthropic actions and efforts. Additionally, nominations should outline how the award may support the organisation or the individual’s growth, future plans and overall development.

Can submissions be in any language?

Yes, submissions in any language are accepted. However, please note that all non-English submissions must also include an official English translation.

What are the accepted file format types for supplementary and supporting documents

The accepted attachment file format are as follows:

Word Document (.doc, .docx)

PDF (.pdf)

Photos (.jpeg, .jpg, or .png format)

Selection Process

Who will be the responsible for evaluating the award nominations?

All nominations will be reviewed by the Humanthropy Awards selection committee.

What is the timeline of the Humanthropy Awards 2026?

How will a nominee be formally notified if nominated by an external party?

If a nominee is shortlisted as a finalist, the Humanthropy Awards team will officially contact the nominated organisation or individual via email to request for additional information.

How and when will the nominees be notified of the selection and announcement of the winners?

o Nominees that have been shortlisted after the nominee evaluation stage will be notified via email and will be contacted for additional information whenever needed. The Humanthropy Awards team may also schedule meetings and on-site visits if necessary.

o All finalists of each award category are required to attend the awards ceremony as winners will be announced during the event.

o Following the ceremony, an official announcement of the winners will be made on the DIHAD Sustainable Organisation’s website and official social media platforms.
